Autobiographical notes, 1944-1984, describing his childhood and young adulthood in England, including his membership of the National Secular Society and editorship of its journal, Freethinker; emigration to Australia in 1976; interest in vegetarianism and membership of the Vegan Society of Victoria; and especially his friendship with Harry H. Pearce, interest in secularism and involvement in the formation of the Secular Society of Victoria (later the Victorian Secular Society).
